Our many years of experience in the field of testing and measuring electrical machines make us the competent partner for extensive testing of your motors. We also benefit from our proximity to the Institute of Electrical Engineering (ETI) of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and its excellently equipped laboratories.


/// Motor Measurement

On our test benches we measure all types of electrical machines in a speed range 0-30.000 rpm and torque of 0-120 Nm.

The measurement is characterized by:

  • Automated commissioning routines
  • Fully automated measuring procedure
  • Temperature control and monitoring
  • Evaluation tool for fast visualization
  • Creation of detailed measurement reports
  • Exact identification of system-relevant variables such as:
    • Position encoder offset
    • Flux characteristic maps
    • Position angle dependencies

As a result of the measurement, we obtain an exact mathematical model of the machine including all important data such as:

  • Flux characteristic maps
  • Efficiency map
  • Temperature and speed dependent losses


/// Real-Time Monitoring Software: SciMon

At our test benches we use the self-developed software SciMon, which is very versatile and has for example the following functions:

  • Monitoring of all necessary variables
  • Extensive plotting functions
  • Trigger for plots with high time resolution
  • Recording of all required data
  • Automatic measurement routines, for example for flux characteristic map measurements
  • Routines for identification of system parameters and initial parameterization of the controllers
